I had stuff from them when they did a special offer trial. Trouble was the stuff didn't last the week, you needed to use it in the first couple of days. It appears they are calling me now hoping I will start ordering again - which I won't!

I think Abel and Cole are a reputable company who just want to contact you to see if you would like to go on dealing with them. personally I think that its OK to get a call in the evening, but double glazing people have spoilt it for others...also i hate it when they call and don't leave a message...grrr...I have written to Abel & Cole and asked them to leave messages!!!

The same number called at 5pm, i wasn't in, no msg left. I think they call if you haven't bought anything for a while. Last time i ordered from them was over a year ago if not 2. I think they are trying to get their old customers back.

Called on Valentine's!
If it was Abel & Cole, they rang at 8.30pm on Valentine's evening, in the middle of our romantic dinner (and left no message)! Have ordered from them only once before, must be at least 2 years ago. Never again if they're cold-calling like this (without permission).

4 calls in as many hour from this number today
I last had abel and cole over 4 years ago! They told me back then that they did not deliver to my new address. I really am not interested now, I do not have the money and the others are right, the goods do not last very long, it is not an economical way to buy what I need.
Pretty annoyed tbh.

Extremely Annoying!
Abel and Cole have called me twice a day, every day for the past month. They never leave a message and how they have my mobile number, I do not know.
Bought from them about 4 years ago and didn't think much of the produce, so chose not to buy again. If they think they are going to get an order out of me after this harassment, they can think again. I'm going to complain to Ofcom.

Let them know
Just let them know not to call you by logging onto their website - they have a live chat. I am a customer and their service is great. The reason the veg does not last as long as supermarket stuff is because it is real. I you grew your own veg it would not last more than a couple of days out of the ground either. At least you know you are eating good food.

I signed up because their customer service started out so well, but then once I'd made the order they didn't want to know when things went wrong. When I paid for and didn't receive items they just said we'll send it next week - when I had no intention of ordering again! I wasn't given any option, you'll have a credit on your account!

Pretty daft sales technique.
I really don't see how they will achieve anything by cold calling and then not having a conversation! I answered the phone and they hung up. (Presumably in their queue but nobody was free?) Have just checked the number and found this string of comments. It hasn't made me want to return...

but... credit to them, as inconvenient as it is, he was very pleasant and as soon as i told him why i stopped using them he wished me a good evening and left it, no pressure. personally, if they have to cold call for business then i support it to a degree, that business is one i hope continues even though i dont use it myself. i do hope they respect the preference list however as some people have reported they havnt.

Pushy and don't want to know if things go wrong
They seem to like to call regularly to ask if I would try them again, and if not why not. I have actually given up answering the phone now as they appear not to respect my wishes for them to stop contacting me!
I actually persevered with Able and Cole for several months but there were continuous problems.
They say their fruit and veg was 'fresh' when it was actually mouldy and rotten! Whenever I complained, I was just told the veg was 'organic' and that is why it looked mouldy..erm?!

I too was told that the veg "didn't last long" due to it being organic - I would at least expect it to survive the journey from field to house without going mouldy. Gave them 3 chances to correct issues - missing items, damaged goods, and veg that was mouldy before it arrived. They apologised every week & gave me a few small account credits (but made it quite clear they thought I was making it all up!!) I cancelled the account & asked them not to contact me anymore – failed on that too

It is definetly them and it is because i tried them years ago but to all of you who are moaning about it and saying how annoying it is, just ignore it. It isnt a massive deal, why are you so obsessive about it? You have wasted more time typing on here moaning about it then it ever would to just say "no thanks".
The Valentine's story was particularly funny, i mean who cares? Just don't pick it up or is it customary for you to have a phone on the table when having a "romantic" dinner?
