I keep getting calls from this number, which I ignore. Any ideas who they are?

Its 3 mobile and they call me all the time as well which is really annoying. I rang the number back and it gave me the option to opt out of future calls which I did. If it continues I will not be renewing my contract with them. Cheers

its 3 they will not stop calling, if you use the block number option they just start to harrass you again using a different number. its becoming annoying now because we are not even with 3 for our mobile provider or broadband dongle we have no products with 3 at all. its rather off putting to me because i will not get anything with 3 because of this.

its actually a so called indication in which they want something off of you. there is a way on the i phone you wont recieve calls from this number... if you would like to kknow how reply to this .x

its discounts on new contracts that are better priced than in store or online so if you have a need it would suit you ,so on taking a phone call
it takes seconds to say your not interested these people are only doing their job, communication is easy suck the pony

Three spam calls
Three have been harassing me for weeks with this. Every time I put them on call blocker it all starts again with a different number and its just them trying to sell more three services and what makes it really annoying is the fact that I am on contract with them already. !!! !

I already have 6 contracts with 3..... if they try the stupid "lets call her till she gives in" technique they will be very disappointed... two of my contracts are due for renewal shortly... If they're lucky...

Breaking point!
After about 4 calls today I reached breaking point, rang them up and asked why they were ringing and not leaving a message. I was told they were not allowed to leave s message so I asked to be taken off the calling list.

Ye thats on top of the contract uve already got, not instead, and they only do it for £10 a month for the first 3 months, then it goes up to a normal rate like £30 etc.

They call, then hang up?
This number has been calling 4 times a day for the past week. When I answer they phone, they hang up?!!!!????? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Im sceptical about calling them back, and being charged a premium rate?

They have rung me 8 times today I have answered twice for them to hang up when I do,I already have 3 contracts with them,but this will be none if it carries on,can anyone tell me if they have been successful in stopping the calls?

The Fuckers Don't Give Up
This number has been calling me upwards of 10 times a day / night.
Thank you for advising me to call back and opt out of all future calls. What worries me is that I was CHARGED for this call at the normal mobile rate!!!!! Great way to make money '3' mobile network!!!
I won't be renewing my contract with '3'.

Annoyed customer
I am already a custoemr with 3. I have a 2 year contract with them which runs out in just over a year. I have not wanted/needed anything else other than the contract I have, so why keep calling? Also I dont answer to numbers I dont recognise (spam callers where u pay to hear them), they have my address so they can write to me quite easily! Grrr

its not 3 mobile its cold callers selling 3 contracts from call centres in asia
the call drops because they get paid for every call they make so once you answer they have no intrest in speaking to you, its a classic very old way of getting around the cold call rules in uk. park a sub contract out to an asian call centre to do cold call selling for you prats

My daughter's phone is in my name so I just phoned up 3 customer services and they've put a block on all marketing calls as she's only 11 and I don't want her receiving them. Definitely a cheaper way of doing it as you will be charged when you phone back the number from your mobile.

Report them to OfTEL
Just let 3 network know that you will cancel all there contracts, and report the calls to OfTEL, I have started recording the calls and I'm looking at cancelling my contact early. DUE TO NUISANCE CALLS...

It's NOT 3
If you do a bit of searching you will find that it's not actually 3.
Several people have called 3 back and checked the number with them and they deny that it's them.
In response to Camel:

0800 358 4487 is 'Free' not '3' listening closely
As with many 0800 358 4487 answers as "free" and are deliberately attempting let you think they purport to be '3' because they are also selling '3' contracts. Some actually claim to be '3', most like this one just come very close to it.

I hate 3, sacked them of years ago as I was fed up of complaining and not understanding a word they say. Would they like it in India or wherever if we had call centres here in the UK pestering them 24 hours a day? I bet they wouldn't. I only use UK services now, much better, and miles more helpful.
Anyway whether its 3 or an agent I would never use them, and this just proves my point, 6 times a day they're calling!!! Grrrr

Having spoke to the C.A.B after problems with credit agencies calling - I was advised that if any one number calls you more than 4times to one of your numbers in a 24hr this counts as harrassment and you can legally get them stopped. Contact the ombudsman if that's the case. I found this call particularly annoying as I joined 3 to get away from marketing and sales calls xx

An illegal and losing strategy
I too keep getting these calls and have asked to be taken off the list but to no avail. I have therefore written to 3 under the terms of the Data Protection Act advising that I do not win three to use my data for marketing purposes. They are now in breach and this matter has been referred to the Information Commissioner. I play nasty. Hilton hotels were fined for doing this to me. I hope three has £20000 to spare - yes that's £20k.

I have had these calls before and phoned 3 to ask why they were calling me as I had only just got a contract with them, I was told that did not try to contact me. I listed my number on TPS and called back and opted out of future calls. When I got a phone call later that night I explained to the woman in no uncertain terms that If it was a sales call she was breaking the law as I was registered with TPS and had already stated that I was not interested with Sales calls as I already had a contract with them. funny enough I had months free of calls until today in which I have had 2 from them again. If this starts again I am definitely taking the advise of Rex, thanks for the info! Alsocompany trie to call you more than 3 times in 24hrs

Can't understand their behaviour
How can it possibly be good business practice to pay people to repeatedly pester your existing customers? For every one persons you might sell a new deal to, there must be hundreds that just get annoyed. If it's about making money by getting you to ring back, how dishonest is that? Three have become an awful company, can't wait to leave them and their aggressive, poor coverage service.
